Liverpool close to another star signing – report
After another painstaking wait for the Liverpool fans, it seems that there is light at the end of the tunnel in the chase for Inter midfielder Phillipe Coutinho.
After seemingly beating off competition for his services, the respected Italian media outlet Tuttosport, last week quoted Coutinho as saying that he was happy to stay and fight for his place at Inter.
Thankfully for Liverpool, the allure of The Premier League is now so great that the move represents a career progression for the player and reports are now indicating that a transfer fee has been agreed between Liverpool and Inter – in the region of £8.5m.

Rodgers has been clear about his intentions during the window:
“We hope to do some business between now and the end of the month…..
……The owners have been brilliant in supporting (me), we knew we were maybe a little bit short in the summer.
……We all agreed this was a month we would try to reinforce, if we could.”
The attacking midfielder, who is already renowned for his dribbling skills and fleet feet, has been on loan at Espanyol this season, where he has scored an impressive 5 goals in 16 games. He’s also scored 6 in 16 at various levels for his national team Brazil.

If rodgers fail to sign butland he will be end up lossing.
For “Coutinho” simply substitute “Dempsey”. Then throw in the word “fiasco” and you will have exactly what is going on. Expect the “whingeing” excuses soon….
Am i d only supporter seeing that one of our main priority dis season is a stronge defender that is confortable on d ball, can fit in acros the back 4, can batter any body both on d ground & on d air?
we need a young and good goalkeeper named jack butland…… get lost brad
I stand wIth u my guy
looks like liverpool never sign a player until some big clubs jumps in…
This is your moment Tottenham…
Thanks for the effort Rodgers and FSG, but consider experience as well if we must challenge the likes of man utd, man city and Chelsea who have complete experience .
Only time will tell.just give b r time
Thought this was a football site? However judging by the comments nobody on here’s got a scooby doo!!!
LPOOL WHEN?
Liverpool will regret leaving it so late….. they will lose out to other teams for the players they want. Always the same.
Liverpool nid to buy gud players nt person lik borin
blame the young ones is very bad management by BR…
Who set the team? there is only one man to blame, so shout up and take your responsibility BR.
One man once said never change a wining team.. got for the close and then put in prospects…
I for one love the young talents but they are not to blame for a managers choice… lfc should have started with a team able to close the game in first half …
shame on you BR for blaming other than you.
Rodgers ilike to say him bring the rigt option to the club
First it is painstacking waiting for the player to be bought then it is painstacking waiting whether he will end up like Allen,Borini and others or will it be a diamond we have bought. So long FSG is not prepared to splash out money for top class players we are all going to have a long painstacking waiting and waiting. Only top world class players can stop our painstacking waiting, if not dear fans keep on waiting for a miracle to happen. FSG are very crafty in saying we are building up the team and buying cheap young players. BR is a survivor and follows along with FSG and Ayre. He is a survivor unlike Daglish to outspoken and lost his job.
Money is no guarantee for success ,look at the big money flops in the past, from all the big clubs. We waited this long why not give B R a chance, in a few years we might just be dominating the PL for a couple decades?
Why import players when u can give strength to ur scord by ur junior teams
pls BR could knw dat liverpool is not a small club pls.pls let him buy big players 4 us and drop wisdon at beach 4 us pls
So we can afford Couthino at 9 million but he is waiting for summer to buy Butland? at a reported 6 mill…Why not both?
